The need for support for individuals and families within Goochland County continues to grow. In 2025, we assisted 236 Goochland County families with resources to receive essential food, clothing, and other necessities. We are able to offset a portion of this demand by finding sponsors, such as yourself, to provide an individual or family with the same items our program would have provided if they were assisted within.
How it Works:
-Each applicant is carefully screened for eligibility within the program
-Approved applicants are matched with their sponsor, business or organization
-We will contact you directly to discuss options for providing assistance to your match.
We request you deliver your donations directly to your sponsored family NO LATER than
Saturday, December 12th, 2026
This date is important as it is when the Christmas Mother Association wraps and delivers our own donations to other families within the program.
The deadline for sponsoring a family is
Sunday, November 21st, 2026

Ways To Get Involved
Our organization is volunteer driven and funded by donations and grants. There are many ways to get involved and be a part of making the holiday season brighter for those in need in our community. Please consider making a donation, sponsoring a family or individual, donating food through our Amazon wish list and volunteering for our many events.

Volunteers are the cornerstone of the Goochland Christmas Mother Association!
Help with Applications!
Applications for the 2026 season will be taken in person Saturday, October 17 from 9am-11am and Saturday, October 24 from 9am-11am in the Goochland Middle School Cafeteria.
Volunteers assist with the actual taking of applications.
We need both English and Spanish speaking volunteers.
Those looking to assist with applications must attend a short application training class.
Application training date:
Wednesday, October 14 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
